To help familiarize you with just a few West
Essex towns, here are some overviews:
About Caldwell....
Noted for its signature small-town
friendliness, vibrant business center and cherished heritage (as the birthplace
of America's only New Jersey born president, Grover Cleveland), Caldwell is
home to more than 7,600 residents within its 1.2 square miles. These unique
qualities, combined with excellent schools and a great geographic location
(with NYC bus transportation), are just some of the reasons for the town's
appeal to new and old families alike. Residential options abound in Caldwell,
as two-thirds of the town consists of Colonial, Split-level, Cape Cod and
Ranch-style homes. The community's "main street" (Bloomfield Avenue), which
runs from West Caldwell and thru Montclair, offers ample entertainment
activities, such as a new Community Recreational Center, a movie theater and
many fine restaurants. Caldwell also boasts a beautiful 41-acre park, named
after Grover Cleveland, where residents can enjoy walking-trails, playgrounds,
tennis courts, picnics, fishing and ice-skating.

About West Caldwell....
West Caldwell is well known for its
family-oriented environment and community spirit! Just come to one of the 4th
of July Celebrations at James Caldwell High School, Memorial Day Parades or
October Street Fairs, and you'll see for yourself. Bordered by North Caldwell
and Caldwell to the east, and Essex Fells and Roseland to the south, West
Caldwell has approximately 11,233 residents throughout its nearly 5.05 square
miles. With six parks, an award-winning modern library, four shopping centers,
NYC transportation, wonderful recreation programs and excellent school system
(shared with Caldwell), it's no wonder why this community maintains a great
reputation and continues to be a great place to raise a family.

About North Caldwell....
Marked by its rolling hills, wooded terrain,
cul-de-sac streets and friendly atmosphere, North Caldwell is considered to be
a desirable, executive and upscale residential area. With only 2.99 square
miles and a population of approximately 7,400, the town is quietly hidden away
from the bustle of nearby bigger cities with not one traffic light. Yet despite
its "exclusive" nature, North Caldwell has a variety of fun recreational
activities (including two public parks and a lovely community recreation
complex, with tennis courts and a swimming pool) and is just minutes away from
dining, shopping and NYC transportation in the nearby Caldwell and West
Caldwell communities. North Caldwell has two elementary schools and is home to
the West Essex Regional Middle School and the West Essex Regional High School,
which services the neighboring towns of Roseland, Fairfield and Essex
Fells.

About Essex Fells....
Considered one of New Jersey's most
prestigious and exclusive areas with only 2,000 people in its tiny 1.41 square
miles, Essex Fells is a unique and special community possessing various
architectural styles -- from the Victorian era to stately stone and brick
mansions of yesteryear. With its winding roads, mature Rhododendrons and fine
estates, you'll find an atmosphere filled with grandeur, beauty and peace like
no other New Jersey town. Even Essex Fells' police station and post office
reflect old-world charm with their beautiful authentic Tudor-style. Close to
shopping and transportation options in the nearby Caldwells, the town has two
private swimming pools, a private golf club, and a beautiful pond for
ice-skating and fishing. Essex Fells also has one elementary school and busses
middle and high school children to the West Essex Regional Schools (located in
nearby North Caldwell and shared with Roseland, North Caldwell and
Fairfield).

About Verona....
Verona is well known for its large,
beautiful park -- designed by the same architect responsible for NYC's Central
Park, and close proximity to everything one would desire in a suburban town.
With more than 13,500 people, the town is mostly residential and consists of
charming older Colonials, Splits-Levels, Cape Cods and Ranches within its 2.8
square miles. Unique to Verona is the presence of the upscale Claridge House
Condominiums, two high-rise buildings offering luxury living in a private
section of town. As Bloomfield Avenue "the main street" runs throughout Verona,
residents can also take advantage of the many shopping districts and various
restaurants available in bordering towns like the Caldwells and Montclair. Like
many West Essex towns, Verona has a highly regarded K-12 school system with
four elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.

First Time Buyers >Choosing A Lender
When you are buying a new home or refinancing your present one, it is wise to do some comparison shopping among lenders. A low interest rate isn't the only criterion by which to evaluate a loan. You should also consider the terms of the mortgage, what your closing costs will be and the reputation of the lender.
Real estate agents are a good source of information about loans and lenders, whether you are buying a home or just refinancing your present home. We routinely assist buyers when they need a mortgage in order to purchase a home. We know what loan packages are available and the qualifying requirements. The companies with the lowest rates sometimes have very conservative underwriting guidelines, and may not be willing to make loans on certain types of property or to buyers who are marginally qualified. We can tell you which companies and loan officers will go the extra mile to provide excellent service to make sure that the transaction closes.
